Pelagia Wins DecarbIndustry Award for Måløy Fishmeal Factory

We are proud to share that Pelagia has been honored with the DecarbIndustry Award by the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) for our pioneering work in industrial decarbonization at our fishmeal factory in Måløy, Norway.

This recognition celebrates our commitment to sustainable innovation and the successful implementation of high-temperature heat pump (HTHP) technology to replace fossil-fueled steam boilers—marking a major milestone in our journey toward a greener future.

The project is special as it combines three different systems from two suppliers to deliver steam at two temperature levels:

Delivered by ANEO Industry: A 4.4 MW HTHP system supplies steam at up to 143°C/4 bar, using heat sources ranging from 30–95°C and achieving COPs between 3.5–6.5.

Delivered by Enerin: A 0.4 MW HTHP system supplies steam at 159°C/6 bar, utilizing waste heat from 15–90°C.

We also gratefully acknowledge the financial support from ENOVA.
